People all over the world are discussing about 2012 end of Earth these days. Wherever you go it seems to be the hot topic. The doomsday prediction is based on the ancient Mayan calendar. The understanding of the concepts of space and time of the Mayans can be only described as incredible. They were able to formulate their own mathematical calculator, using which they could make complex calculations. They were the first to proclaim that the time progresses in the form of cycles. Using calculations they found out that one ‘Great Cycle’ equals to that of 5,125 years. It is such complex calculations which make the civilization stand apart.

While many believe that destructive events will befall the earth on the 2012 end of Earth date, there are many others who believe that it would be the day when the humanity will enter into an altogether different era. According to them this would be the day when major changes would take place and it will mark the beginning of a new era.

Almost all the major religions of the world have predicted changes taking place in the world, similar to the Mayan 2012 end of Earth prediction. There are many who believe that unique alignment of planets on the date that will result in 2012 end of Earth. According to them 2012 end of Earth would be because on that particular day the earth and the sun would be directly in line with the black hole of the Milky Way. Like a wobbling top, the direction of the Earth’s axis is changing; while today, the North Pole points roughly to Polaris, over time it will change. Because of this wobble, the position of the earth in its orbit around the sun at the moment of the equinoxes and solstices will also change.

Every 2,160 years the earth points to a new constellation!

Every 13,00 years (roughly), the earth points either away from the center of our galaxy or towards it. On the winter solstice of December 21, 2012 the axis of the earth will point towards the center. Most scientists are of the opinion that the magnetic pole (of the earth) changes every 13,000 years. Some 13,000 years ago what we now all the North Pole was located at what’s now known as Hudson Bay.

The Sumerians knew of this more than 6,000 years ago!

Prior to a pole shift, we begin to experience magnetic changes and abnormalities. Scientists have noted that our magnetic filed has been weakening over the last 25-50 years in a major increasing way. Ever since 2005, birds have had trouble migrating as never before noticed and scientists are talking more and more about the possibility of a reversal of the poles.

There has been said a lot on 2010 predictions regarding end of Earth. Many astrological and scientific facts has been given that are pointing towards one thing that 2012 is the end of the world. In this the most popular one is the Mayan calender also called Mesoamerican Long Count Calender. It is there for the period of 5125 but after 21 December 2010 there is nothing in that calender. Experts are believing that it is pointing towards the end of the world in 2012.

The Hindu vedic astrology is also saying the same. According to vedic astrology, December 2012 is the month when Kalyuga will end (present time) and Satya Yuga will begin. There will destruction and the whole earth will have a new life.

There are few other 2012 predictions regarding end of Earth which are Sun Storm Predictions, Super Volcano, Swapping of North and South Poles, Gamma Ray Burst (GRB) and more like this. In Sun Storm predictions, solar experts believe that the Sun although in the middle of its stability is giving out signals of excessive heat, which in December 2012 will so high that it will lead to the end of the world. As per Super Volcano theory the volcano under Yellowstone National Park that is located in United States burst after the period of 650,000 and December 2012 is the time when it will burst and engulf the whole world. The volcano will be so intense that it will lead to the frozen winters for at least 15,000 years. According yet another theory that is the Swapping of poles it is said that north and south poles of the earth swap their positions once in 750,000. So the time is near when this swapping is going to happen. During swapping the gravitational pull of the earth will vanish leading to the end of world in 2012.

Although all these points, whether true or false are saying the same thing, but we should not forget one thing that nothing can be said with 100% accuracy, so should not spoil our present because of the things that are going to happen in future.

The truth is we’re not really sure what will happen to earth in 2012. Some questions I had on my mind were; What will happen to people in 2012? What will happen to earth in 2012?

Many experts believe something is going to happen to people in 2012. Have you heard the stories that aliens will come to earth and tell us the truth about our world and the rest of the universe? I admit a lot of these stories you hear are crazy, but there are some such as the 2012 galactic alignment that don’t sound so far from the truth.

But many religious experts and scientists agree that something will happen to earth in 2012. Will it be the switching of our north and south poles causing electric storms and choas across the whole planet? Will the mysterious “Planet X” cross into Earths orbit and collide with it?

I hope its not true that the world will end in 2012! I know I’m going to be prepared for whatever might happen. There may be some outrageous claims out there but some of them make you stop and think.

The clocks been ticking since the world started and humans were born. The mayans predicted suffering and natural disasters like we’ve never seen. There’s a lot of evidence pointing toward something drastic happening in 2012.
